In English
Lecture, Experiential and Pre-recorded Performance Excerpt

This presentation explores the intersections of artistic and educational approaches to working with the body and movement, emphasizing their potential for empowerment, transformation, and a felt sense of connection with oneself, others, and the world. The Touching Performance is an experiential, participatory, and site-responsive intermedia artwork created in collaboration with visual artist Marina Bauer, inspired by author’s somatic practice and study of Body-Mind Centering® (BMC®). The project has served as a foundation for workshops with diverse participants, including children, dance and visual arts students, older adults, women diagnosed with or recovering from cancer, individuals with psychophysical challenges and other vulnerable populations. Zrinka will discuss key procedures, methods, and outcomes of the work, highlighting their relationship to the BMC® approach.
